Earjerk... We're Not Serious.

Hey Folks!

Well, a quick post while I take a breath here...

Earjerk Records and Tapes is moving!

I have been in and out of this city a whole lot lately and Br. Early's Green House (114 N. Brearly St.) has been home to Earjerk Records for nigh on 7 years... But I's got the itch!

Our new Address is:

TBA

Tree Tapes and Mansfield Deathtrap Re-Recordings will remain at the 114 address until August 2012 at least... so mail yer items/trades there! Also stuff available on the distro page...

...if you want Deathtrap stuff, it's pretty much a crap shoot what limited, 1-of-1 release he has out this month/week but send him $5 and a SASE and see what happens).

Or there are multiple variants/copies (maybe 10?) of THESE!:

'Flu Shots Available Everyday!' One of 10(?) variants available.

Also wanted to post about these couple of tapes (as in 3 copies) I found in my mailbox, recently:

Sonny Blood - Two Improvisations - Self Released

I probably won't even bother to list it in the disastro page, they should be gone so quick. Sonny has been a member of Second Family Band from times unremembered but his hands have only graced the air two or three times while the tape was rolling. When the record button was pushed, this guy always seemed to disappear... It was great to find that he had self-released a few creepy string things from the Northwoods. Apparently limited to 17 hand-stamped/ hand-numbered copies. Green matching cassette and case and ...

Read the reviews at  To Eleven and Foxy Digitalis  if you need to know more about the tunes!

Jazzman After Hours - Mixtape
Last but not least, I' ve stumbled across this mixtape by a dude, Rex Raider here in Madison and it is kind of blowing my mind. It is a Jazz mixtape and it seems to be all analog, directly from crackly, old LP's. It ranges in genre from Black Power/Free Jazz to 70's Acedemic Psych numbers and even some bagpipes thrown in for good measure! You may not have to be a hardcore digger to know a few of these tracks- I recognized a couple for sure- but there were a few tracks on here from groups like the Forefront and a few others that I hadn't heard before. Perfect summer road cruise music. Blowing like jasmine in my mind...
